Two people died in a crash on Edison bridge after a man drove north in the southbound lanes.

Fort Myers Police say Gary Reyolds, 70, drove the wrong way on the bridge, striking a pickup truck and a blue Kia that were both headed southbound.

Reynolds sustained life-threatening injuries in the crash and died on scene.

The three people inside the Kia were taken to the hospital in serious injuries. One of the passengers, 41-year-old Teresa Miguel Francisco, died from her injuries in the crash.

The people inside the pickup truck were not hurt.

Investigators believe alcohol is a factor in the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
