SOUTH BEACH, Fla. — Three teens led police on a massive chase through Miami Beach. Two from Lehigh Acres have been arrested and police are searching for a final suspect.

According to reports, officers attempted to stop a black, four-door Cadillac for running a stop sign, but the driver fled and eluded police.

A short time later, the car was spotted at 1st Street and Ocean Drive. Officers pursuing the Cadillac say it traveled to the wrong side of the road, sideswiped an officer on a motorcycle, and continued driving erratically until stopping on Washington Ave., where an eighteen-year-old from Lehigh Acres, three women, and the driver bailed out.

That's when a sixteen-year-old teen from Lehigh Acres jumped behind the wheel and led police on a second chase. Crashing through vehicles and endangering the lives of several pedestrians, he broke through barricades and sped through Lummus Park, eventually rear-ending a parked car. He attempted to run but was tackled by officers and continued to resist until he was tased into submission.

Investigators say the car was stolen and they found a handgun in the driver's seat.

The sixteen-year-old faces a list of charges, including carrying a concealed firearm, grand theft auto and eluding police.

The eighteen-year-old turned himself in and is facing charges of battery, false imprisonment, eluding police and resisting arrest.

According to reports, the three women involved were in fear for their lives and begging to get out, but the first driver locked the doors and told them no one was leaving the car. Police have identified the original driver and are still searching for him.
