FORT MYERS, Fla. -- We now know the names of two men killed in what troopers are saying was a horrendous early-morning car crash.
They say 19-year-old Porter White and 20-year-old Brendan Blecher were killed around 1:45 a.m.
It happened on McGregor Boulevard near McGregor Park Circle. They say the driver was likely speeding when he lost control of the car, which rotated and entered the median, where it hit a tree.
Both men died at the scene.
Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
FHP says the crash is under investigation.
