GLADES COUNTY, Fla. – Troopers say two people were killed when semi truck ran a red light in Moore Haven on Saturday.

Florida Highway Patrol says it happened around 11 a.m. Saturday morning at the corner of U.S. 27 and 10th Street.

They say a semi-truck headed westbound on U.S. 27 didn't stop at a red light and hit a car headed southbound on 10th Street.

Both occupants of the car, 62-year-old Susan Parker and 66-year-old David Ward, both of Moore Haven, died at the scene.

The driver of the semi, 65-year-old Eduardo Irons of Cypress, Texas, has not been charged at this time. Alcohol results are pending.
