CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. -- A vehicle crash involving a motorcycle has seriously injured two people and caused backups along Harborview Road.
The crash happened around 1:15 p.m. near the intersection with Coconut Street, in the area of the Animal Welfare League building.
According to Charlotte County Fire & EMS, two people were injured in the crash, and both were trauma alerted to area hospitals.
The victims are listed as a male approximately 50 years old with multiple fractures, and a female approximately 40 years old with partial amputation of the leg.
The crash caused heavy backups along that stretch of Harborview Road, roughly midway between U.S. 41 and Interstate 75. The roadway has fully reopened since.
