PUNTA GORDA, Fla. -- Deputies arrested a man after seeing him steal items from a truck parked outside a Punta Gorda grocery store on Wednesday.

39-year-old Isaac Clark was arrested outside the Winn Dixie on Bermont Road at U.S. 17.

According to the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office, deputies in an unmarked vehicle watched as Clark rode through the parking lot on a motorized three-wheel bicycle before using a pair of bolt cutters to remove a high-end cooler from a truck bed.

The deputies approached Clark and found tools in his cart that were reported stolen from another victim.

Isaac Clark is charged with Burglary to an Unoccupied Conveyance Unarmed (2 counts), Grand Theft, Petit Theft, Possession of Burglary Tools, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Investigators say it's unclear if this is the first time that Clark has burglarized additional vehicles in the area. Anyone believing they may be a victim of theft from the plaza area is encouraged to contact the sheriff's office's non-emergency number, 941-639-0013.
