8-year-old seriously injured in a vehicle crash in North Fort Myers

NORTH FORT MYERS — **UPDATE -(9:24pm) ** - Florida Highway Patrol Troopers say an 8-year-old in critical condition after a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of US-41 and Pondella Road in North Fort Myers.

Troopers say the vehicles involved were a truck and two Honda Sedans.

They say both adult drivers of the sedans and an 8-year-old were taken to Lee Memorial Hospital.

Troopers say the 8-year-old is in critical condition.

A dog in the same vehicle as the juvenile was also seriously injured.

Investigators say the driver of the truck and their passenger was not injured.

FHP is on the scene, and they are continuing to investigate.

Pondella Road on the west side of US-41 intersection is closed.
