LEE COUNTY, Fla. --- Investigators have identified the victim in a fatality on Alico Road on Monday.
63-year-old David Fons was driving a 2017 Nissa Versa traveling on Alico Road in the left turning lane heading towards Gator Road when the driver of Volvo truck collided with him.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, Fons' car spun around before coming to a stop in the westbound lanes.
The crash happened near the intersection just after 2 pm.
