Victim in mud park fight identified in Charlotte County

PUNTA GORDA, Fla. -- Investigators have released the name of a Clewiston man who died following a fight at a Charlotte County mud park on Saturday night.

According to the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office, 27-year-old Ramon Muino, Jr. is the man who died.

Investigators say his identity was initially withheld to protect the family from being located or harassed during the initial investigation.

The autopsy has been completed and the cause of death is still pending toxicology results. These results typically take several weeks.

The fight started around 11 p.m. near the main stage at an event at the Redneck Mud Park off Bermont Road in rural Charlotte County.

The mud park released a statement on Tuesday: "Saturday night, an incident occurred in our park which required medical attention. Our park EMS and security worked quickly to help Charlotte County and emergency personnel get to the injured and assist them as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, in the end, we lost one of our guests. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the families affected. We appreciate the actions of our safety and security teams, and that of Charlotte County's first responders."
