GLADES, Fla.-- Water levels in Lake Okeechobee are rising, according to the Army Corps of Engineers.

Right now, the lake is just over 14 feet. About a week ago, it was about 13 and a half feet. To give you some perspective, this time last year, the lake was just over 11 feet.

The Army Corps of Engineers says discharges are a possibility if the rain continues. The Corps prefers to have the lake level a little lower than this at the start of wet season.

The peak water level is 17 feet.
