Downtown power outage mostly restored

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Hundreds of Florida Power & Light customers in downtown Fort Myers were in the dark Monday night.

Reports of power loss began around 7 p.m. FPL says the outage impacted around 400 customers at its height.

According to the utility company, there was damage to one of the main lines, with the majority of power to be restored by 9:30 p.m.

A check of FPL's online outage maps only showed two outages as of 4:30 a.m. Tuesday.
