LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. - Lee County deputies say a woman crashed her car into a canal just after 1 a.m.
Tuesday morning.
They say it happened one West Lake Drive, in the neighborhood west of Veterans Community Park.
Fox 4 crews arrived on scene just after 2 a.m.
Neighbors in the area say she crashed into a fence just before plowing into the canal.
Deputies say the woman driving the car was not injured, and a mechanical failure caused the crash.
