NAPLES, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say a man crashed his pickup truck into a southwest Florida deputy's car.

The Naples Daily News (https://goo.gl/cYxh92) reports that the crash occurred Thursday morning.

A Florida Highway Patrol report says 53-year-old Douglas Flohre nearly ran a red light at an East Naples intersection just before hitting the left side of the Collier County Sheriff's Office car.

Flohre was cited for careless driving and no proof of insurance.

Two occupants in the sheriff's car went to an area hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
