Man dressed as officer sexually batters Bonita woman

UPDATE -- Lee County Sheriff's Office have released an updated composite drawing utilizing different technology of the suspect in this crime.

LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- On Tuesday September 13th, at approximately 6:23pm, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a Sexual Battery of an adult female in Bonita Springs.

Investigation revealed a Hispanic male wearing what appeared to be a police tactical vest, dark pants, firearm, and a police type insignia, presented himself as a police officer and the victim felt no reason to dispute him. The victim allowed the suspect entry to the home based on his appearance.

Once inside the suspect sexually battered the victim. Another adult female and 4 year old child in the residence were unharmed. After the incident, the suspect fled the area in what’s believed to be a silver or tan sedan.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect depicted in the attached composite sketch.  At this time the Sheriff's Office cannot confirm this incident is related to the incidents earlier in the day in East Fort Myers and is still seeking assistance in identifying the suspect in those incidents.

The case has been assigned to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit and the investigation remains ongoing and active.
