LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Lee County Sheriff's Deputies say a man was hit by a car who later left the seen without helping the man.
It happened just after midnight.
Witnesses told police they saw the victim laying on the shoulder of 28th Street SW with a serious head injury. They also told police that a box truck stopped in the roadway 10 to 15 minutes before the man was discovered.
The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.
