Man takes off with $5,000 guitar

LEE COUNTY, Fla.- An unknown male took off with a Gibson Les Paul electric guitar valued at $5,199 from a Fort Myers Guitar Center. 

The store, located at 4440 Fowler Street, says the theft happened Saturday June 4, 2016 when the unknown male in the surveillance pictures inquired about the Gibson Les Paul electric guitar. 

An employee allowed the man to hold and examine the guitar, in which the employee turned his attention to another customer. When the employee returned his attention to the unknown male, it was discovered the male subject had left with the guitar. 

The suspect is described as being 5'9, thin, wearing a red collared shirt with a pattern, blue shorts and light colored shoes. The male can also be seen wearing a dark colored baseball hat and dark black sunglasses. This subject may have possibly fled from this location in a newer, unknown model white van.
