COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- We now know the name of the secretive company that's expanding in Collier County.
County leaders and Governor Rick Scott announcing Tuesday that Arthrex, a local company that makes medical devices, is expanding its operations in North Naples.
The $63 million deal. which will create an estimated 560 jobs, is part of an agreement between the company, the state and the county.
Arthrex has been based in Naples since 1991.
Arthrex is a global medical device company and leader in new product development and medical education in orthopaedics. With a corporate mission of helping surgeons treat their patients better, Arthrex has pioneered the field of arthroscopy and developed more than 9,500 innovative products and surgical procedures to advance minimally invasive orthopaedics worldwide.
Arthrex has additional locations including Munich, Germany as well as several subsidiaries and distribution centers throughout the world.
Collier County is also reportedly trying to lure three other mystery companies to the area.
