Missing Cape Coral man with PTSD is found

UPDATE (6PM) -- Cape Coral Police report that James Arney has been found, and the search has been called off.


CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- Police are looking for locating a Cape man with PTSD that went missing Wednesday morning.

James "Chris" Arney was reported a missing/endangered person and last seen by his wife at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday in the neighborhood of 4100 NE 20th Court in Cape Coral.

At approximately 8:02 a.m., Arney used his cell phone to send his location to his wife, determined to be 1700 NE 21st Street in Cape Coral.

He is driving a 2003 white Ford Explorer with a large dent on the passenger side. The vehicle is further described as having two FIU parking stickers on the rear of the vehicle along with a ARMY specialty license plate (tag# BJV4L).

He is described as light skinned, approximately 5’4”, 200 lbs with short brown hair and blue eyes.

It is reported that Arney suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and depression.
