HENDRY COUNTY, Fla. - A Palm Beach County man is dead after colliding with a car on State Road 80 Sunday.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, 36-year-old Balwinder Mann of Boca Raton was riding a motorcycle westbound on S.R. 80 east of LaBelle. Troopers say he began passing a car on the left along the 2-lane road just as the car started to turn left into a driveway.
Mann's bike collided with the driver's side of the car. He was rushed to Lee Memorial Hospital but died from his injuries.
One passenger in the car suffered minor injuries. The driver, 25-year-old Dayana Venerero of West Palm Beach, was cited for failure to yield to vehicle passing on the left when making a left turn.
Mann was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
