PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. -- A North Port motorcyclist died Monday night after troopers say a car turned in front of him.
19-year-old Sean Mulvey of North Port was pronounced dead at the scene at the intersection of Toledo Blade Boulevard and Hillsborough Boulevard just before 9pm.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, Mulvey was northbound on Toledo Blade when a southbound car made a left turn in front of him. Mulvey braked hard and overturned before smashing into the passenger side of the car.
Two of the four people in the car sustained minor injuries and were treated at a North Port hospital.
Charges are pending on the 19-year-old driver of the car. An investigation is still under way.
