BONITA SPRINGS, Fla.- A multi-million dollar drug operation that spanned from Lee to Collier County now out of business following an eight-month investigation, landing several people behind bars.
Drug Enforcement Administration along with Lee and Collier County Sheriff's Office conducting raids at ten locations throughout both counties seizing almost 6 pounds of heroin, cocaine, cash, and cars.
The investigation called, "Taquiera Takedown" began after narcotics detectives discovered a massive cocaine and heroin trafficking operation in Bonita Springs.
They learned the Erick Nunez-Nino ran Kwik Pick convenience stores in Naples and Bonita Springs, as well as the Soccer Palace in Bonita, taking over for his brother Alan, who was already in custody on multiple trafficking charges.
Almost all of the suspects are still in custody in the Lee County Jail, with some court appearances scheduled for Monday, and more on May 2nd. At least one suspect, Sean McCann, was able to post bond.
