The Pro Watercross World Championship tour came through Naples this weekend.

The event attracted racers from across the country and Southwest Floridians to Sugden Regional Park.

"It's very exciting you know, I've been involved for 28 years and I've been all over the world doing this and these kids today keep getting better and bigger, they keep pushing it to the limits," said Mike Young, who was announcing the game to the crowd.

Justin Sylvain is one of the young racers that did his part to entertain the crowd.

"This is my second year coming down to Naples, last year I did two rounds of the Pro Watercross and this year I participated in the whole tour this year I was fortunate enough to be the world champion," said Sylvain, who fell in love with the sport after he grew up near a lake.

The roar of the crowd sometimes rivaling the sound of the engines. Competitors fed off the energy that came from the stands.

"It just makes us want to come back, I love doing it. Just to see the amazement on the people's eyes, it's like, 'Oh my gosh, how do they do that. i want to do that one day.' They look at us like we are a superhero and its awesome.

The event will run through Sunday, September 25th.
