COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- Troopers in Collier County are investigating the death of an 87-year-old man who crashed his car into a tree.
Florida Highway Patrol says it happened shortly before 3 p.m. Monday near the eastern end of Oil Well Road, in rural Collier County.
Deputies say 87-year-old Lawrence Korb of Naples was driving eastbound when he missed the curve in the road and hit a tree.
He was taken to Lehigh Regional Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
