NAPLES, Fla. -- A Collier County woman is fighting for her life in critical condition this morning after being hit by a car.
The crash happened late Thursday night on Oakes Boulevard at Standing Oaks Lane.
Florida Highway Patrol tells us 57-year-old Norma Padilla was standing on the side of road and started crossing the street in front of a car. Troopers say she was hit and thrown to the shoulder of the road.
Charges are pending, since Padilla violated the car's right of way.
She is in critical condition at Lee Memorial Hospital.
