NAPLES, Fla. -- Collier County deputies are investigating a report in which a child told deputies that she was approached by a man in a white truck as she walked in her neighborhood.
The 13-year-old girl told deputies that while walking on Cypress Way East on Wednesday night she was approached by a man she did not know who wanted her to get in the truck to give him directions. She declined and kept walking.
She told deputies the truck was a white box truck with commercial letters and an unknown phone number.
Detectives said the man is described as a white male with shoulder length gray hair and a long gray beard.
Deputies will be conducting extra patrols in the area.
