(KGTV) - Compulsive texters and casual typers will have even more options to describe how they're feeling, what they're eating, or where they are this month.
Due out June 5, 157 new emoji will be released as part of Unicode's Emoji 11.0 update. When smartphone systems adopt and release the new emoji remains to be seen, but they are sure to add even more to variations on how people communicate via text and online.
After the release, there will be a total of 2,823 emoji available, according to Emojipedia.
Many phone makers have traditionally waited to release new emoji as part of their own major operating system updates, meaning possibly iOS 12 for the iPhone and Android P for Android devices.
Among the new options: new smiley faces, a hot and freezing face, a woozy face, and new hair options, including red hair, white hair, curly hair, and a bald option.
New superhero and supervillain, mermaid and mermen, vampire, and zombie options are also scheduled for release.
In foods, get ready to show your love of avocados, coconuts, cupcakes, and takeout food. Healthy additions like lettuce, broccoli, salad and a cucumber are also included.
More random additions include a DNA double-helix, magnet, petri dish, curling stone, and a shopping cart will be a part of the release. State flags are also coming for users to flex some state pride.
How each of the 157 emoji will be portrayed for users will depend on the artist at Apple, Samsung, Google, and Facebook — which have differed from one another in the past. For a full list of all the emoji part of the new release, click here.
Unicode is already planning the next major release, Emoji 12.0, slated for 2019.
