TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Florida voters have approved a state constitutional amendment on legalizing medical marijuana.

Florida voters were asked for the second time in two years to approve a constitutional amendment that would legalize medical use of marijuana and broaden access beyond the limited therapeutic applications approved by the legislature.

The latest numbers indicate that 71% of Florida voters have approved the amendment, well over the 60% needed to pass.
