COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- The countdown to the midterm election is on, and those running for office are hitting the campaign trail hard. Republican gubernatorial candidate Ron DeSantis will be campaigning in Naples Friday.
He's hosting a community meet and greet at Yabba Island Grill on Fifth Avenue South at 5 p.m. Friday.
He made a stop in Miami Thursday as part of his campaign trail. Florida Senator Marco Rubio was also there to endorse DeSantis.
And his opponent, Democrat Andrew Gillum, will be in West Palm Beach on Friday. State senator Bobby Powell will join him.
He's having a ‘Bring it Home’ block party concert at Gaines Park at 7 p.m. He's also scheduled to make stops in Coconut Creek and Boynton Beach on Friday.
