Voters approve Cape Coral Bond Referendum

Posted

Voters in Cape Coral approved a $60 million bond referendum which will add amenities to the city's parks and recreation department.

The 15-year bond will advance the city's parks master plan, which includes the creation of three community parks, six neighborhood parks, two environmental parks, and upgrades to the Cultural Park.

According to the city's website, the bond would cost around 40 cents for every $1000 in taxable property value. That means the owner of a home with $150,000 in taxable value would pay $60 more a year.
