SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. -- The Northbound lanes of I-75 are now open after a fuel tanker semi truck crashed leaving one man dead.

The crash involved a single fuel tanker transporting 8,500 gallons of fuel having lost approximately 2,500 gallons upon overturning.

Police say the driver began drifting between the left and right lanes of travel and lost control of the vehicle.

As a result, the driver overturned on his right side.
