COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- It's been nearly one year since Danielle Trevino was ambushed and shot in front of a Collier County home as she arrived to pick up her child, but still no arrests have been made in the case.

A $15,000 reward remains available to anyone providing information that leads to an arrest -- $14,000 from an anonymous donor, and $1,000 from Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers.

Crime Stoppers says that shorty after midnight on December 13th, 2015, Trevino arrived at her mother's home in the 3700 block of Randall Boulevard in the Orangetree area of Collier County to pick up her child after a night out.

As she approached the front door, holding a bag of food and her child’s backpack, Trevino was ambushed by gunfire, and was shot several times in the stomach and left forearm.  She was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, and fortunately recovered physically over the ensuing months.

“A mother was shot in front of the family residence, for seemingly no reason.  And the person who pulled the trigger and altered her life is still out there," says Trish Routte of Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers.  "We’re confident that someone knows something – we just need them to come forward anonymously and share the information they have about that night.”

Anyone with information regarding the shooting of Trevino is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).  All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000 from Crime Stoppers and an additional $14,000 from the anonymous donor.  Tips may also be made online at www.southwestfloridacrimestoppers.com or by submitting a tip through the P3Tips mobile app.
