New information expected soon in Seivers case

Posted

It's been two weeks since the State Attorney's Office released documents revealing that investigators believe Mark Sievers hired two men - Jimmy Rogers and Curtis Wright - to kill his wife Teresa. Now, sources close to the case say that more information is likely to be released soon.

Based on the redacted documents released December 1st, the Florida Department of Children and Families tried to have Mark's children taken from him.

"The likely arrest, and the father's potential reaction to said arrest, is very concerning," DCF investigator Theresa Fracek said at a custody hearing, just days after the documents were released. "He was allegedly involved in the painstaking details of coordinating the violent death of the children's mother."

Despite those claims, a judge let Sievers keep custody of his two daughters, and he remains a free man.

Of the two arrests in the case so far, only Curtis Wright is in the Lee County Jail. Fox 4 reached out Wright's attorney, Elizabeth Parker, who said that they are continuing to review the discovery as it comes in from the State Attorney's Office, and preparing for trial.

While Mark Sievers has been going on with day-to-day life, some people are snapping photos of him out in public, many wondering if his days as a free man are numbered.

When asked about any soon-to-be-released documents in the case, Sievers' attorney, Lee Hollander, had no comment.
