SOUTHWEST FLORIDA -- If you still don't know what you and your family will do to celebrate New Year's Eve, we have a list of events going on right here in Southwest Florida.

You can watch the ball drop at Times Square on Fort Myers Beach.  The party kicks off at noon Thursday and ends with fireworks from the pier as the ball drops at midnight.  Keep in mind that the bridge will be closed to beach-bound traffic from midnight to 1:30am.

The Fort Myers River District Alliance will be holding their annual family-friendly downtown countdown.  The party begins at 8pm and runs until 2am.  New this year there will be a junior balloon drop at 9pm, and at midnight attendees can enjoy fireworks on the river as the ball drops.

If you're ringing the new year in in Cape Coral, you can enjoy a trolley run around the downtown area. Each of the 13 stops will have drinks available for $2.50. You will also get complimentary LED-lit 2016 glasses to wear all night.  The trolley runs from 7pm to 1am.

Port Charlotte is putting on a 2016 party with live DJ's and a champagne toast at midnight at 24 TwentyOne Event Center.  There will be a raffle and balloon drop at 9pm.  Admission is $15.

Punta Gorda will be holding its family friendly New Year's Eve celebration from 5pm to 12:30am at Fisherman's Village. This is a free event.

And finally, if you plan on ringing in the new year in Naples, there will be a New Year's Eve fireworks show.  You can see it along 5th Avenue South and at the newly renovated pier.  Festivities will begin at 7:30pm.
