Sentencing delayed for teen who killed his mom

Posted

LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- A teen accused of killing his mom and stuffing her body under the floorboard at his home was expected to be officially sentenced Monday, but the hearing has been postponed.

16-year-old Tyrese Landrum has accepted a plea for juvenile manslaughter and tampering with evidence charges. This after authorities say he killed his mother Tamara  Davis last year in North Fort Myers.

Under the plea agreement, Landrum would spend time in a high risk juvenile facility undergoing psychological treatment.  He could be there until he is 21.  After that he could be released and face 10 years probation for the tampering with evidence charges.

His rescheduled hearing is set for January 11th.
