FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Police are investigating after they discovered a shooting victim during a traffic stop Thursday.
According to Fort Myers Police, shortly after noon, officers stopped a vehicle on a traffic stop near the intersection of Edison and Central avenues. Inside the vehicle was a person suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim had minor injuries.
Further investigation revealed that the shooting reportedly took place in the 1100 block of Sumter Drive.
