UPDATE: The Coliier County Sheriff's Office has located Charles Guarino, he is alive and safe.

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- Deputies are searching for a man who has not been seen since launching his canoe Saturday.
According to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, 54-year-old Charles Guarino was last seen around 9 a.m. Saturday after a family member dropped him off at the Shell Island Road canoe launch in Rookery Bay.
Guarino brought a silver metal canoe, along with a tent, camping supplies and his cell phone. He did not specify what island he intended to paddle to or how long he intended to stay out.
His family reported him missing Wednesday.
Detectives said Guarino is described as white, 5 feet 7 inches tall and 215 pounds with a white beard.
