Collier County school officials say graffiti was sprayed in several areas inside Palmetto Ridge High School.
District Spokesperson Greg Turchetta says it was discovered early Monday morning after the school opened following Thanksgiving break.
Several messages were tagged, some saying things like: "Release my children", "You're detached from your creator," "You are blindly being misled," and "You are blindly being misled."
Turchetta says parents were alerted about the issue and were given the option to take their kids home early, though the school day continued on as scheduled.
Investigators are still looking for the suspect or suspects in this case.
