COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- The body of a male Florida panther was discovered Sunday along State Road 29 near Immokalee, the victim of a vehicle collision.
According to Florida Fish & Wildlife, the 2.4 year old cat was found near the intersection with County Road 894, also known as Experimental Station Road, a little more than a mile north of Immokalee.
This is the 32nd panther death of 2016, and the 24th due to vehicle collisions.
