MangoMania fever taking over Southwest Florida. The festival's 20th anniversary getting people to purchase tickets that can't even enjoy mangoes.
"I am allergic to mangoes, however it doesn't mean that i should stop living and trying to do things," said Julie Myers.
MangoMania is a two day event with over one hundred vendors and contests for all ages. "We love all the vendors that come and sell their plants, and the vendors that come and sell food. we have a home pantry filled with the various jellies and sauces that they make here. we just love it," said Patty Seminelli.
MangoMania is more than just mangoes. It celebrates the harvest of Pine Island's mangoes and other tropical fruits. It is also a family friendly event with a kids corner with rides and games.
"It's worth it to spent time with your family and to meet new things from different cultures," said Myers.
The festival wraps up Sunday evening at the German-American club on Pine Island road.
