CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- Police are increasing early morning patrols at a Cape Coral school bus stop after several students said a man has been making suspicious comments to them.

The bus stop is located near Four Freedoms Park just off Cape Coral Parkway.

According to Cape Coral Police, a student reported on Monday that she saw an adult male walking near the bus stop in the 5am hour and said "hey girl" to her, then walked around the bus stop and stared at the students.  The girl recognized the man's voice from an incident the previous week, when she heard somebody in the bushes say "hey girl, come here" and moaning.

Another student said the same man made comments to her and her mother, along the lines of "it isn't safe out here...I could do something bad."

The situation has parents like Nicole Gonzalez, who takes her 4-year-old daughter to the park every week, concerned.

"This is a family park, and it's always full, so it really freaks me out," Gonzalez said. "He could be living in one of these homes right here in the area, which is the scariest part."

Eight-year-old Robert uses the bus stop every school day.

"That must be pretty scary and intimidating," Robert said. "I'd just ignore them and probably try to outrun the person."

The man is described as a 25 year old dark skinned Hispanic man wearing a red hoodie with a star on back and ragged long shorts.  He has a full beard and mustache.

If you see this man, you should contact Cape Coral Police.
