Police: Man crashes vehicle while on heroin

CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- Police say a drowsy driver on heroin crash his vehicle in a hospital parking lot  Tuesday.

36-year-old Keith Paulick is facing charges of Possession of Heroin, Possession of a Controlled Substance without Prescription, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Driving Under the Influence, and 3 counts of Driving Under the Influence w/Property Damage.

According to Cape Coral Police, Paulick was behind the wheel of a vehicle that ran over three parking signs in the Cape Coral Hospital emergency room parking lot.

Investigators say Paulick was "nodded off" during the crash.  Another unresponsive man was also in the vehicle, which contained heroin, prescription drugs, and drug paraphernalia.

Paulick was arrested and transported to the Lee County Jail.
