LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Tuesday, Lee County leaders will talk about adding more land to the Conservation 20/20 program.
There are three land 'nominations', and they are all next to existing preserves.
The first property is to the west of Pine Island, near the Charlotte Harbor Preserve State Park.
The next is in Alva south of Bob Janes Preserve.
The final nomination is in Bonita Springs, south of Pine Lakes Preserve.
Right now, Lee County has designated just under 30,000 acres as conservation land. The program preserves and protects environmentally critical land in Lee County.
