CAPTIVA, Fla. — It was quite an eventful day for the eagles at the Captiva Nest Cam after American Eagle Foundation camera operators discovered a monofilament, single-strand fishing line wrapped around one of the eaglets.

U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service gave permission for the Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW) to investigate and evaluate the eaglet’s health.

A CROW rehabilitation specialist was lifted to the nest with the assistance of LCEC, to check on the eaglets and remove the monofilament and a hook that was attached to it.

The eaglets are well thanks to team effort.
