JUNO BEACH, Fla. — Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) is making history by building 14 solar energy centers at once across the state. Sites currently under construction will account for 4.1 million of that goal, with up to 2,800 jobs expected during peak construction.
One of the largest energy companies in the U.S., FPL is ahead of schedule in its plan to install more than 30 million solar panels by 2030. Florida has installed more solar than any other state in the first half of 2020, according to quarterly reports from Solar Energy Industries Association.
