LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Want to track your favorite sea animals? There's an app for that.
Ocearch, a shark research and advocacy team, just launched an updated shark tracker app.
Ocearch has been around for about eight years, tagging and managing sharks. Now, an almost real-time map pinpoints the locations of all the marine animals they’ve tagged with satellite transmitters, including sharks, dolphins, turtles, and more.
People can see how far the animals are from the user, and get a notification when they surface.
