Panther killed by vehicle south of Immokalee

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- We're learning of another Florida panther death in Southwest Florida.

Florida Fish and Wildlife say the remains of an 8-10 week old female panther were collected on State Road 29 Wednesday at Owl Hammock Curve in Collier County, south of Immokalee.

It died after it was hit by a car.

This was the fourth panther death reported this week. There have been two deaths in Hendry County and another in Martin County since Halloween.
