BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. — Firefighters with the Bonita Fire Control and Rescue District successfully rescued an Osprey who was hit by a car at the roundabout near Old 41 and Terry.

Firefighters report the Osprey is calm and docile. He allowed them to cover him gently with their bunker coat and scoop him up to secure him.

Firefighters say he will be going to the Clinic for Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW) to arrive within the hour.
