SANIBEL, Fla. — The Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife wants people to keep their feline friends indoors during the spring and summer months.

They have had several patients come into the CROW clinic as a result of attacks.

CROW treated them with antibiotics to prevent life-threatening infections that are caused by the bacteria in a cat's mouth.

Young birds in particular that are learning to fly during this time of year may end up on the ground in the process making them an easy target for cats.
