A former "So You Think You Can Dance" contestant visited Southwest Florida. Jarvis Mardis competed in season three of the show. He spent Saturday going over hip hop at Dance Dimensions in Cape Coral.

"He was phenomenal! It is hard to believe he is here,"said Marley Christopher, who has been dancing at the studio for twelve years.

Mardis went through a number of routines with the girls. The students at the studio were grateful for the opportunity.

"It's incredible, it's an amazing experience just getting choreography and technique from someone who is so experienced," said Sofia Huber, who has been at Dance Dimensions for eleven years.

Mardis got just as much out of today as his students.

"To see the children taking in everything you know and expanding on it, and growing with it and becoming the next generation of professionals it's what it's all about," said Mardis.

He was impressed with the talent he saw.

"Oh yeah, they have been awesome, they are better than me," he said.

The girls are looking forward to practice what they learned from him.

"My goal is to be able to do what he is able to do," said Nicole Connelly from Cape Coral.
