Report: Lee County man was stabbed and beat with bat

Posted

LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Graphic new details are emerging about the brutal murder of a Lee County man inside a home last month.

Ted Lee's body was found dumped behind a dumper in a church parking lot in Manatee County.

Jonathan Ruffini, Hunter Tyson, and Lavaya May -- who once lived with Lee -- are each facing charges. Investigators say they may have been motivated by money.

According to arrest warrants, Ruffini claims May had asked both men to kill Lee, and they're accused of stabbing him and beating him to death with a bat.

The report also reveals neighbors heard a lot of commotion at Lee's Buckingham home before seeing two men place a body inside Lee's car.

The trio then allegedly stole his car and credit card and headed for Colorado, but they were caught days later in Kansas.
